I was devastated when that happened but the lessons that I took from the loss have stuck with me. Gymnasts are unique in the fact that not everyone can do the sport or have the mental discipline to love it, even if at times you might hate it. My hope for all the girls in this sport is that each of them takes away the self-motivation, dedication, confidence, and pure love for life as I did.
